12.7.1 - Error List
 

Hey everyone,

I updated to 12.7.1 on my secondary workstation.

All of a sudden i'm getting -9173 errors, and AVE hangs (Video Engine could not stop). Although I haven't had any hard crashes at all..

Prior to this I was running 12.6.1 without any trouble. Rock solid and stable, running 30 minute post sessions with ~100 tracks.

I haven't tried a fresh install, or preference wipe just yet as it is my secondary workstation. So it's not a big deal really. Just thought I would put it out there to let people know what i'm experiencing and see if anything echoes back.

Seems faster and more solid here with HDX.

(Clear Plug-In Folder)>Launch and Quit>Add back Plug-Ins skipping the newly installed defaults.>Launch again and work.

What are the "newly installed defaults" . ?

More stable here. Please tell me what is the purpose of "error list" thread? What good can it possibly do?

For me, it lists potential bugs in 12.7.1 before I upgrade. For Avid, it lists bugs that need fixing.

So how it is different from Avid's ReadMe document? Except that the document is available on day one after the release and this thread is not?

Just sayin' that bashing Avid for known bugs is not productive.

video engine problems are back - I can't even load my project (constant "unrecoverable errors"):mad:. Thanks Avid for this nice update. Let's see if I can export an AAF so I can do my work elsewhere...

I'd guess it's useful for bugs that *aren't* in the ReadMe, and which Avid & users thus don't know about already...

If you find bugs that squeak through, by all means, report them.
