USING MIDI FADERS TO CONTROL PRO TOOLS FADERS....

HI EVERYONE, QUESTION:

I have on my midi controller(An Emu launchpad) five midi faders which I would like to assign to whatever volume/pan control in pro tools that I feel like playing with at any given moment...

can anyone tell me what I need to reprogramme my midi controllers with the midi fader and switch data in the apendix a section of the pro tools midi controllers manual .

On my Emu launch pad I can assign controller/note numbers(it does sys ex dumps and recalls), is this enough to change my midi protocol? There are no switches for the values such as cc> 01h-07h,
Can I reprogramme these from the computer?

is it that simple? can I just programme the faders on my midi controller with the midi numbers of the controls in pro tools?

Any help, tips advice are greatly appreciated and will unleash a whole new way for me to work

Cheers
Dom

Only the devices listed in the peripherals dialog are supported. You can't just use any controller.
