cannot activate PT 12.7
 
Hi,
I just downloaded and installed PT 12.7 (upgrade) .
When I try to run it, I get an error message.
It says:
"Select license to activate.

You don't have any licenses your account or none of the licenses there have activations available.

You do not have any pending deliveries for the licenses you need to authorize the software."

The ILOK manager shows Pro Tools 2016 deposited on 4/4/15 but doesn't show the upgrade plan I purchased on 5/23/16 (Order ID 4859939).

I hate ILOK !

Any suggestions ? PLEASE ?:confused:

Contact Avid. You need a new license for 12.6 and above.

Just created a case about this as well, am dead in the water until I get my license... upgraded?

Why did this happen? Isn't the whole point of being under a perpetual license & support plan about being able to download updates and they work? Took me way too long to find this thread which is the first mention of needing a new license I've found.

I am having the exact same problem. I have a license for PT 12.4, downloaded the update/upgrade from the Avid Application Manager and it gives me the license error.

Welcome to the community.

Can you reply with the exact error you're getting?

I see you activated your Pro Tools Perpetual Bundle to your iLok2 on 12/26 so if that is not authorizing Pro Tools 12.7 then please follow the steps here and report back.

We have updated your iLok account with the new license that adds support for 12.6/later. Please activate the "Pro Tools Perpetual Bundle (with 10/11/12)" and surrender your "Pro Tools with Upgrade and Support Plan 2015 (NT)" in iLok License Manager to complete this.

I just downloaded and installed PT 12.7 via my Avid application manager. 12 .5 was running just fine.

I launch the 12.7 version.

It then states select license to activate, which I thought was strange.

Welcome to the community.

Pro Tools 12.6/later needs the Pro Tools Perpetual (or Subscription) license to run (see the FAQ). Please launch iLok License Manager and activate the Pro Tools Perpetual Bundle (with 10/11/12) to your iLok.
