Roland Integra - 7 midnam
 

Hi there.

Has anyone here been able to get PT 11 to recognize the Roland I-7 midnam files?

I found a couple of threads where folks were having problems with this - but the threads were a while ago...

Midnams/patch lists on the Mac have been broken in version 11 since the intro. They are flakey in 10, but there is a workaround where if you can configure the patch lists in 10, they show up in 11. Search on patch lists. It's been over a year with no fix on an acknowledged bug. I guess old school MIDI just doesn't rate much attention any more. If patch lists are a requirement (as in my case), you might want to check out Digital Performer or switch to a PC for PT.

Thought I would update this thread.

In PT 12.8.0 there now exists .midnam files for the Roland I7

Hello, and thanks Sparky for the update. However, I have a fresh install of Pro Tools 12.8.0 (using the App Mgr tool) and I see no midnam for Roland I7. Any idea where it can be downloaded?

Hey there.

All I did was check for it one day - and there it was.

Don't know how it got there - just went with the thought that Avid placed it there with their upgrade...

There's a midnam file here that works with DP. You'll have to figure out how to use it with PT - the middev entry.

Or PM Sparky1 and see if you can grab a copy of his. AFAIK, Avid does not supply one with any version. You'll still have to deal with the middev entry.
