Can I run 10 and 2018 on new Mac Mini?
Question for ya guys as I’m just trying to plan ahead.
Thinking about purchasing a new Mac mini and dumping my MP cheese grater 6 core 2013. I would like the ability to open my pro tools 10 sessions so I can reference mixes and plugins from older sessions. If I upgrade to Mac Mini/Mojave and Pro Tools 2019, is there a possible way to boot off an old drive or can I install pro tools 10 also. Plugins like McDsp and a couple others have changed so opening my old sessions on 2019 doesn’t pull their settings up. Thanks guys |

Can you? Probably. Is it supported? No.

If you really ”need” to use PT10 then either make a seperate boot drive with Mavericks for example or keep a older computer working with a OSX that support PT10. Dont try to mix these versions you have as it wont be pretty. |

I doubt it. Most Apple products aren't backwards compatible - they will only run versions of OSX from when they were released, and onwards, so I wouldn't expect the Mac Mini 2018 model to run anything less than Mojave. |

Mojave PTs 10hd works as a conversion utility for me.
Note: its not a viable DAW. But after adjusting my plugins folders for both aax and rtas i can minimal-launch. Open old sd2 ptf sessions then save copy and convert yo my current needs. Not graphics ony apear after a mouse rollover. PITA but works. This likely won’t work in fully 64 bit OSs |

Mojave (...) 10HD works as conversion utility (...) likely won't work in fully 64bit OS (such as Mojave) What I am missing here? |
Re: I run 10 and 2018 on Mojave √
Yes. Just made a very short conversion vid in Mojave (1:45). YouTube Here
Mojave is touted as last non fully 64 bit OS |
