New CoreAudio Standalone constantly launching?
 

I just recently dloaded the standalone core audio driver. i have PT 6.4. I rarely use it, and after reading some of these threads, realized that there where some compatability issues. I unistalled PT entirely, and re-dloaded the standalone installer. I am unable to test it right now, as my Mbox is at another location, but i was having / appear to still be having another issue (it has only happened once since the re-install). The CoreAudio manager application seems to be launching whenever i open other applications, not all of them, but always audio specific apps either... is anyone else having this issue?

Is it possible that these other apps are using Core Audio - normally, if an app is set to use the Core Audio driver, when you launch the app, Core Audio will also launch.

You might want to read the Core Audio Usage Guide and Read Me files that came with the Core Audio installer, as there may be info there that will help you.
