No Audio Being received from pro tools.

im running pro tools 8cs3 via m-audio FW410 on a macbook running 10.5.7.

about 50% of the time when i open up pro tools and pull a session up im not getting any audio back from pro tools. The meters and everything in the software light up but nothing on the 410s driver control panel lights up.

if this happens i have to unplug the 410 and restart my computer. then plug it back in then it might work.

its really odd and i want it to stop.

its from what i can tell something between the software and the 410...
the Software Return bus in the 410 control panel doesn't get anything.

help?
anyone else have this problem?

P.S. Its been happening since 7.4 and i have tried reinstalling and stuff.

Is your computer going to sleep at any point? Have you tried trashing preferences? Have you done all the steps in the General Troubleshooting thread yet?

i trash the preferences weekly.

i've gone though all of the troubleshooting at one point or another...
i do close it, sending it into sleep mode sometimes.

That's the problem - as indicated in the Getting Started Guide, Pro Tools does not support sleep mode of any kind. Typically you'll have to restart your computer and power cycle your interface to get them to connect properly before launching Pro Tools.
