Vintech Pre's
 

Hi All,

Just a quick one, I am looking for another vocal pre and although I have not heard the vintech, I have been told by several people of thier excellence?(Vintech X73i)

Just looking for opinions and alternatives in the $1 - 2k price range.

Love to hear any good/bad about them.

hey, go to an audio board for that kind of thing - and buy an averill 1028, not a vintech.

Check Tab-Funkenwerk V78M. I use it on nearly everything and it's stellar. Gearslutz has some threads on it as well.

Love my x73i's - they really do an outstanding job. Excellent customer service, too.

Vintech preamps are Awsome.

Sound good on pretty much everything i have ran through them

vintech x73 -> 1176ln is my go to vocal combo. it really is fantastic. it is certainly not the only option for a neve clone, but i don't know of anyone that has tried one and didnt like it.

I've got 1073s and a Vintech X73. I've used the X73 on vox, strings, gtrs (via inst in and miked), percussion, piano - it adds that big, beautiful thang and I would never sell it. The only (minor) downside is the external PS and power switch which is a hassle to rack.

I have the Vintech 473 and I absolutely love it. It too is my go too preamp. Plus, I was going to echo the Excellent customer service. I purchased mine from Ebay. The user told me it was brand new. I got it and it clearly wasn't brand new and one of the knobs had broken in shipping. The seller told me to contact Vintech and surprisingly, Vintech fixed it free of charge even though I had purchased second hand.

Also, whenever I have emailed them with questions regarding the product, they have called me that same day within a few hours of the email to clarify my questions. They are honest and deserve my money. I would definitely buy another Vintech product in the near future.

+1 for Vintech. Have a pair of x73's, and have a few clients with 473's, Dual 72's. Everyone enjoys them.

+2 for Vintech. Great preamps!! I really like the Dual 72 as well.

Vintech to Distressor is a great vocal combo!!
