Mobilepre and Garage Band
 

I am new to the forum. I have an old M Audio Mobilepre and a newer Macbook pro running 10.9.5. My Mobilepre is not detected by my Macbook. Do I need a driver update? Is there even one available?

Make sure you have to correct (latest in this case) driver installed. If that is not it debug the USB cable and remove all other USB periperals you can and restart the computer. Make sure you have have disabled power management/sleep and never manually sleep/suspend/shut the lid of the MacPro with the interface attached (or it will likely disappear from OS X... I assume but don't know for sure that common Avid interface driver issue is an issue with these drivers as well)... if so you need to reboot the Mac. I will check the "Help us Help You" but I think that I might have the first generation MobilePre. I have read that there is not an update available to be compatible with 10.9.5 Is that right?
