latest allen system list
 

hello,
i'm fairly new to the forum and i've recently switched to pc after doing the dave c test comparing a g4 800 and a p4 (bought at a computer show for surfing the internet). the mac was getting 13 tracks and the pc was getting 24 plus two auxes! i thought for sure my "killer" mac wouldn't let me down. anyway i've sold the mac and have used this unconfigured pc for two sessions already with only a few minor glitches! i am amazed. anyway it's time to put together the machine i can rely on. if anyone has the latest list for the allen machine i would really appreciate it. also i've seen some posts in regard to buying all the parts and having it put together by the same place. any links would be great. thanks!

Just look at the very first post of Allen's Best system for under 1000 dollars thread. He regularly keeps it up to date with the best performing equipment for the money.

It's amazing to me... whenever I talk to a "real" person about putting together a PC for PT they're like "oh... hmmm, well it might work I guess", but then I see posts like this and I know I'm going the right direction. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

hey everybody i actually found the thread! i called united micro ordered everything on the list. they are putting it together with xp installed and delivered to my door for $1200. i personally think it's worth the extra dough for the convenience of plug and play and they include a one year warranty on parts. after some of nightmares i've read even though few....it's not much more for peace of mind. i'll keep you posted as to how it goes! pc rules!
