Opening Logic files in Pro Tools
Hello,
I decided to record a new song of mine with a friend's Mac-based Logic system. But now I would rather do the final mixing myself on my Windows- ProTools 7.3. I cannot shell out for DigiTranslator... and am wondering if it will work if I bounce each individual Logic track to a wav file, and then import each individual wav file to it's own track in ProTools. I would make each track start at the same time, so it will be easy to sync them all together. I've seen some similar posts, but not this issue addressed directly with LE. Thanks. |
Re: Opening Logic files in Pro Tools
Yes, you could do that - Logic even has a function 'Bounce>All tracks as audio files'. Just drop them all into your Pro Tools session at bar 1, beat 1 and you're good to go.

I just did this today. Logic to Cubase on PC, Protools on PC
easy peasy in Logic to do it |

Thanks digidesign for getting back to me so quickly...and to everyone else. This will be a big help for me and future projects.
