old session audio files wont load

old session audio files wont load + cant play the audio files in Finder.

the audio files dont have file extensions.

i tried adding both .wav and .aiff and they would not open.

How large are the files? Are they only a few KB in size, or do their sizes appear to be what you would expect?

Are they Sound Designer II (SD2) files?

not sure if they are SD2 but they are big sizes plus they are my old sessions so I know they are actual sound files

If I were a betting man, I'd bet they are SD II files. The best solution is to open these sessions on an older system and save copies, converting to Wave.

OK i did figure out they are SDII...only way is to open on older system?? What if I dont have older system?

If you post where you live, there may be DUC members in your area that have an older rig available(some people in Nashville are still working on PT6, 7 or 8:eek:). I just sent my G4 to a friend for doing exactly what you need:o
