Artist Mix fine fader resolution
 

Hello,

When I hold down the command key and adjust the fader in pt mixer with my mouse it moves fader by 0.1 db increments. Is there a way to achieve the same when adjusting the fader on the artist mix? (Or the new 8 fader pack from avid). Holding the command key does not affect the artist mix.

The Fader is physical so technically not possible, otherwise the fader would not be in the correct position. Fine mode is the Control key on the S1 but its for knobs not faders. Fader fine mode on the Control App is touch the fader then touch a second finger on the screen next to the fader.

Makes sense thanks. It would be nice if the motorized fader changed resolution in fine fader mode and then bounced to its correct relative position after the fine mode has been deactivated.

Usually faders have 1024 steps. That’s finer than what I can do with my hands. If I need 0,1 db precision I use the mouse but that’s not very often.
