$99 Annual Upgrade Plan Question
 

I've got the 10/11 "vanilla" bundle now, which is a perpetual license. I don't mind trading that in for just a PT12 perpetual license (don't use 10 anymore at all).

Can AVID ('sup Jeffro) please confirm that the $99 Annual Upgrade Plan provides a perpetual license to PT12, with 12 months of upgrades -- and at 12 months I could either choose to renew it or not, and if not, that I'd still have a perpetual license to PT12 with the upgrades through the end of those 12 months?

I've read the FAQs and the "info" on the Avid Store, and it all refers just to "license" rather than "perpetual license" or "subscription license."

I understand that this may seem like a dumb question, but I really want to be certain before diving into this brave new world.

This is exactly what you get, and yes access to bug fixes (updates) till the end of that period (12 months)

Correct. The $99 Pro Tools Annual Upgrade Plan listed here provides a perpetual Pro Tools 12 license.

Can this same ($99) plan be purchased to go from 10 to 12 ?
I'm not interested in the current bonus plugin offering ( $199)

If you have PT10 license only you need to buy the $199 option as the $99 option is for PT10/11 bundle option.

That whole pile of different options, variations and confusing info to get a piece of software updated really hurts my brain.

Your answer was simple and clear.
However, I did double check this $99 / year plan and it only states PT11 as the applicable platform. Not PT 10, which I have.
