Ever a fix for X-MON going into mute randomly
 

Hi,


On my second X-MON (Yeh second hand ones) in 4 months. the first starting going into mute then outputs distoring and became unusable, stripped and cleaned and it worked for a month then started going faulty again. bought another one been fine for about a month started going into mute randomly and gettting more frequent.


Might try stripping and cleaning the second one but wondered if anyone found the actual cause?

YEs please .
I tried my old X-mon and it was working again after a 4 years furlough.

I had this problem a few years ago and in my case it was just a matter of cleaning the serial cable connectors.
