Recording but not showing wave until stopped???
 

Been recording all day, suddenly PT is recording but not showing the wave until I stop record/playback??

Make sure your horizontal zoom setting is not too extreme. Alt+A should do the trick

Tried that, still the same. It happening on everything thing I record in this session ??

Did you do the usual troubleshooting, clean cache and preferences, etc? I have no idea if there's an option to hide the waveform on rec to save resources or something but worth looking in the manual

Yep done all the trash prefs etc. I googled hiding waveform in ProTools when recording but nothing. Strange that it’s only doing it in that session

Didn’t know if anyone has seen this before

I haven't but I get a lot of Access Violation errors using the zoom on midi and audio tracks that leave Pro Tools completely gray, usually restarting the computer solves the problem, last time removing the sends on the drum tracks did the trick.
