C'mon Avid - dust off the code library one more time! Recompile the 11R drivers for 64-bit only macOS and it should work for several more years. Please?

Not sure anyone is left that worked on it at Avid, which presents a struggle. Updating software you've worked on is easy. Updating software that others have worked on that has been carefully documented throughout is easy. Updating software that others worked on without good documentation? Really difficult. I don't know which of the three we're in but guessing #3.

I'd love for them to fix it, but for now running it into my Scarlett 18i20. I have found that the Editor works in 10.15.4 for me - so at least there's that...

If AVID runs a professional development environment - and I assume they do - then they have decent documentation and code repositories and a competent developer could update the drivers with some nominal effort.

Did you just install the 11R Editor or did you have to install drivers as well?

Every update of PT wipes out 11R editor for me. I get the MIDI engine error & 11R not available in PT Windows pull down menu.

Seems that every MacOS update restores it

Bummer because I update PT more frequently than OS

YEP, as suspected: Updated Catalina to 10.15.5 and MIDI ERROR message is gone, the Editor app launches, and 11R appears in PT in the Windows pull down.

Something buggy in AVID's PT releases is messing up 11R

I'm curious - does rig-embed work? I had thought that only worked when the 11R was your primary audio interface.
