How can I get High Sierra 10.13.6?
 

I am running 10.13.4 but I want to upgrade to 10.13.6. I've been to the app store but there is no trace of High Sierra there. Is there any other place to go to get 10.13.6? I'm told I need this to run PT19.5 on my system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to go from 10.13.4 > 10.13.6 you do not look for High Sierra.
You just go to "Updates" and allow Apple to apply updates until it stops providing you with ones for macOS (except if that "update" asks you to "upgrade" to Mojave; then don't agree to that one)

There is no separate installer for 10.13.6. It is an incremental update.

The other option is to apply the combo updater directly downloaded from Apple

When I try and download it on my 5,1 2012 cheesegrater currently running Sierra 10.12.6 it says it needs to update my firmware before continuing with the download. Is this legit or what? I ask because I have no idea what that update would update.

It is legit. There's a massive firmware update to go up to High Sierra. It's also one of the longest macOS installs. Don't panic and just wait it out when it is doing the install -- takes forever.

Thanks for that bit of help. I asked because it just wanted to do the firmware update with no explanation as to why or what would happen or what exactly the firmware update was about. So I stopped things until I could get more info.
