this person claims vsti use in pro tools le...
some of you may be interested in a little app I've just posted on my site www.wildfrontear.co.uk, which is a shell for playing VSTi's, ie. you can play them without launching Cubase etc. You can also play the VSTi through a VST plug-in and record the output to disc. Oh, and play it with a step sequencer & arpeggiator that I will be uploading to the site soon. It's all freeware of course :>
However...the really cool thing is that you can use it to play VSTi's into Pro Tools. Enjoy !The Lone Roger |

To make this link work I had to copy it into another browser window and delete the final ",/" so instead of:
http://www.wildfrontear.co.uk,/ make sure the link is: http://www.wildfrontear.co.uk FWIW |
Re: this person claims vsti use in pro tools le...
i think there are more different developers who have a little cheap program to use VST plug ins without sequencers or to use it in protools. Many shareware programs (although i doubt digidesign would ever approve that on their list)

Lone Roger,
That app is really cool! However I cannot get it to work because I seem to be missing the MSP PI plug-in. Where can I find it? greets, Dan |

Re: this person claims vsti use in pro tools le...
Seems like he uses MAX/MSP to do this. There is a runtime-only version of Max that you can ship with your apps.
You can probably get it to work by downloading the demo of MAX/MSP. MAX/MSP rocks!! MAX/MSP download |
