Need advice on the best pre-built PC for PT after my house burned down...

My house burned down 7 months ago, and it's just now ready to move back in...... I would truly appreciate some advice on the best pre-built PT-friendly pc I can buy these days.

Also, I would also consider going with a Mac that can run Windows (I heard these exist)......and I'd like to go 8-core either way.

Please help me on this.......thanks so much.....-Roy

If you want to be sure, start here:

Windows http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...oductCategory=

Mac http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...oductCategory=

But, you should for the most part be able to go by the system recommendations here: http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...m-Requirements and do all the optimization's: http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...oting/en367983

What were you using previously and what type of budget are you looking at?

Gigabyte X79 socket 2011 is my personal favorite

I7-3930k or even the 3730k - Haswell is a bit cheaper but less under the hood

850w power supply - corsairs work nice for me

3 sata iii drives the 6gb/sec style

1 256 Samsung 840 pro SSD for the OS

I've no idea about a nicer than decent video card it's a crap shoot
