Student purchase included 4yrs of releases never got Pro Tools 12
 

Dear Avid,
as part of a four year upgrade offer in place at the time of my purchase I should be able to upgrade my installation to version 12. Unfortunately, I did not receive any information, like I did last time when I was upgrading from PT10 to PT11. I activated my copy of the license on 02/07/12, so I strongly belive that I should get an upgrade promised at the time of purchase.

Could you please help me with this?

• Updates are provided for 4 years from date of original purchase and are based on release date of the new version(s).
• Please check the Products Not Yet Downloaded section of your Avid account. If your update is not there (and you qualify for a no cost update), please start a case and include a copy of your invoice.

I am also curious about this. Has Avid rescinded the 4 year upgrade from 11? Not that 12 is any good right now, but promises an all...

As always when Avid releases a new version of Pro Tools there is a small waiting period for those who are entitled to an upgrade. Be patient. It may take a week or so at the most to process EVERYONE (think about how many registered users there are). So if you fall WITHIN your 4 years of free upgrades you will get that upgrade. Avid has not gone back on that deal.

Has anyone received there upgrade as of yet that is apart of the EDU 4 year upgrade plan?

I am also entitled to the free upgrade and have yet to receive anything from Avid. I hope it doesn't take as long as it did with 11 and even when I got it they said I was sent an email with the upgrade information that I certainly never got!

what about the 4 years of free upgrades of Education version?
 

I bought PT 10 in 2012 and It was said to me that it`s a four year free upgrade.

So, It`s not in my avid`s account yet. When It`s gonna be ?

Avid is still processing everyone's accounts. It may take a while. I remember when Pro Tools 11 came out I didn't receive my Pro Tools 11 upgrade for about 2 weeks. It may be sooner than later but its a process to make sure everyone who is entitled, gets the upgrade
