Mbox 3 Pre amps vs. External Pre amps?
 

Hello,

I'm planning on upgrading to an Mbox 3 Pro and am wondering whether to hang onto my FMR Audio RNP (Really Nice Pre amp). Any thoughts as to whether the RNP is better or worse than the pre amps built in to the Mbox?

Do you have to sell the preamp to finance the purchase of the Mbox?

If not, I would hold on to it and try it. You can always sell it later if you find the Mbox pres will work well for you.

I don't need the money necessarily... But it would always be nice ;) Plus, If I can cut out a link in the chain and get a hair less delay on the tracks, that would be great as well. I will definitely do an A-B test when the Mbox arrives, but was curious as to whether anyone had industry knowledge as to which pre-amp was likely to be better (at least on paper).
