how to install 2018 7 on Window 7
 

I've successfully run PT on Windows 7 up through 2018.4 but now get a message that my system is inadequate for the 2018.7 update. Has anyone else run into this? I hate to leave windows 7.

Install over previous version using App Manager instead of from download.

Yes, installing over the previous version works perfectly, even with a downloaded version from your account.:-)

No prob here either on W7 as far as the install; I have an issue where my nudging tracks don't show transparent anymore; it becomes a blank space until I let the clip go. But install from App Manager worked as normal here...

Are you updated fully as far as the w7 updates?..

No. I don't update Win 7 at all. It is just the original install.

Seems like they made an update, even thru app manager, and the installer always show same error message about my bad operating system :(

Which PT version are you starting with? I cant remember which version you have to start with but you may need to start with something earlier. Or later.

For me it was 2018.3 over which I installed .4, and then over that 2018.7.
