I can\'t see the waveforms while recording...!
How do I make protools show the audio waveforms of the tracks I'm recording while recording?
Now, when I record something, all I see is a red colored region. I can only see the actual waveform after recording... What settings box have I not checked? |
Re: I can\'t see the waveforms while recording...!
I have found that while recording, if i am zoomed in too close, i can't see the wave file being recorded, if i use the lowest zoom setting, i can see it just fine, but that is the way it works for me,,, B.b.

check for ''audio input monitoring'' (PT menu)

also.....make sure your view (just under the track name) is set on "waveform" and not "blocks"

Do you mean have audio input monitoring checked on? I think I tried that and it ddi not make a difference, but i will see if zooming larger does it. The wave forms are there once recording is stopped and in blue playback mode.
