I fell for the Bass Fingers plugin and it doesn’t install ..
 

I am soo stupid as i promised to stop buying software a few years ago and only buy hardware.

Well dumb me bought Bass Fingers as it was 25 bucks which is nada!!! However I want to use it at my house on a Mac Pro 12 core 6.1 with Sierra and all the rest of the waves plugins I never use are V9 and Bass fingers V10.

As per usual it just does not install :rolleyes:

Goes to approx 75-80% on the bar in waves central and then stops install.

Tried since last night and still no bueno!!! WTAF is going on??? As it doesn’t require my Gold bundle and api etc to be wup’ed why is it not installing??

Super glad for any ideas as this VI sounds great!

It should install V10 waveshell all by itself. Waves changed there setup in the last couple of months and i constantly get the "Your browser is not supported" message using IE. If so you can temporarily set up a different browser as default. I think the first thing i would try would be to uninstall Waves Central then reinstall the latest and try again.

You’re right Chris this sounds awesome... just downloading it now..... geeez it’s huge at 21Gb I’ll let it sit over night and do its thing. If I have any probs will let you know.

And Rob, please let me know if the install works for you. And what ersions of Waves OSX etc.
You dont need to install both SD and HD files.

They are the same both higher quality with the HD which is 15-16GB and the SD only 2.5GB

Also keep in mind that when Waves does a W10 waveshell install it doesn't hose your W9 plugins - it's a known problem and I forget the remedy for it (other than wupping everything to W10). I fell victim to that last year and ended going the WUP route :o

They say that V9 and V10 can be coinstalled as long as its not the same plugins so as I dont wanna wup the plugins I have on my private nMP I kept that V9 and the Bass plugin is V10 but should work as it doesn’t excist in V9 form.

The weird thing is it downloads to about 75-80% then the blue indicator bar just stops and only way to quit is to press stop button.

Doesn’t throw any error msgs or anything. Just stop loading and stays frozen.

I had them as different plugins. To explain further it happened when I added some new stuff to my Abbey Roads plugins - those were W9 and the new ones were W10. Something screwed up somewheres and I lost the W9 plugins. Oh well. But I lucked into a sale Waves had on upgrades and I wup'd everything really cheap coupled with a personal coupon from them.

Been tempted by this plugin but then again I have a real Jazz bass around here :cool: The one vi bass I like is the Rick bass from NI. The gui even has Lemmy's hat sitting on a chair. I bypass the internal amp in the plugin and go into either Bassdude from Plugin Alliance or the Ampeg B15 emulation in Amplitube 4. The Jazz bass get's di'd straight into PT.

All my Waves plugs are V10..... and yup the install has been hung up for nearly an hour at the point in the image I posted below.... I have left it for a bit to see if it ebbs it’s way through but I think it wishful thinking.....

WOW! Thats EXACTLY what happens to my download and nothing is gonna happen further unfortunately. I tried installing onto the cloud option, the desktop and on a separate Thunderbolt3 SSD but no go. Both the HD stops there and the smaller 2.5 ish GB SD option stops there aswell :eek: something is wrong for sure with Waves servers or the download files on their servers.

I have sent a support ticket to waves so Rob, pls do the same and hopefully one of us gets an answer to this.

Thanks a million for the update and picture. I am not happy but relieved that I am not crazy atleast ;)
