Pan knob above attention fader-Why isn’t it activated?
Why isn’t the pan knob activated above the attention fader?
That knob had never been in function, right? Seems odd to me that you’ve never been able to pan the attentioned channel(without having to go to the home screen on the MTM). Also a bit of a waste leaving a centered knob unused. |
Re: Pan knob above attention fader-Why isn’t it activated?
It’s a good observation indeed. This encoder has been allocated to behave as an Assignable Knob function, which allows the user to lock any single parameter - such as filter cutoff frequency or Pan by hovering over the param in the DAW and pressing the encoder. The drag is that this has only ever worked for Cubase, Nuendo or Logic, not Pro Tools.
I’m pretty sure Eddie already has a logged definition to allow this encoder to be at least Pan if not any other of the series of available surface functions. Jeff Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
Is the Pan Pot on the Attention Module going to be active for Pro Tools in future releases?

Yes. Its not a Pan pot it will be any knob.

Re: Pan knob above attention fader-Why isn’t it activated?
Is there any plans for that encoder to behave as Jeff said it originally was planned?

Re: Pan knob above attention fader-Why isn’t it activated?
Not for PT at this time....it will behave like another attention area so you can set the default knobs or quickly change to whatever function you want.
