MC Transport displays sample values when Soft Keys pressed-?

I just picked up an MC Transport, and when pressing the soft keys the display below the counter is cycling through 3 states-blank, a numeric value, then the actual name of the command (scroll vert, etc). The numeric value is always the same on every soft key and is related to cursor position, and it appears the values are samples-if I set the nudge to 1 sec, the value changes by 48000 per 1 sec nudge.

Is this normal behavior?

MacBook Pro running OS 10.12.6 Sierra, PT Ultimate 2019.6, EuControl 19.5.1.44.
MC Transport firmware is current.

EDIT-Mac OS is Sierra. May have found the answer in another thread.

Issue resolved with update to 10.13.6 High Sierra.
