Workaround for Mackie Control/HUI prefs on 10.8
 

Go to HD/Library/

You'll have to hold down Command and go to the Finder menu item: "Go" to get to Library.

Right click on the Library folder
Choose “Get Info”
On the bottom of where it says Sharing & Permissions:
Make sure Everyone is set to “Read & Write”

Double click on the Library folder

Right click on the Preferences folder
Choose “Get Info”
On the bottom of where it says Sharing & Permissions:
Make sure Everyone is set to Read & Write

Drag and drop Live/Reason, etc into the EUCON preferences Panel
Choose Mackie Control as the protocol

Restart system

This 'fix' does not work for me. I even tried making every library folder read and write. When I restart my computer every thing has disappeared.
I am running Mountain lion. It is extremely disapointing that I cant use my Artist Mix with anything but pro tools

This is not encouraging. I have just been reading up on this issue as I 'was' looking to get an Avid Artist Mix, I would really love one.

If your not planning using EuCon ONLY with Pro Tools, it's not a good momento for this system. BIG issues with Nuendo/Cubase, Mackie emulations, driver unstable, etc.
