Please share your cheap ASIO interfaces experience

I am thinking of buying some nice small interface for home use and use it with PT10. Main purpose is to connect guitar or keyboard or take some work home. Original Mbox is dead on Win7/8 so it's time to find something better.
What I was thinking is 2x2, 4x4 with midi, digital connection. It can be second hand 100-300$ price. Must be at least USB 2.0 or firewire, compact but with no breakout cables (like Babyface), low latency is a must. Dual mic pres are welcome.
Here are the candidates:
Focusrite Scarlet 2i4
TC Konnekt or Impact series
NI Komplete 6

Have anybody experience using those interfaces with PT10? Any other candidates?

Could even be but it lacks midi. As I can see you have saffire, are you satisfied? What about latency? Did you measure it?
Zoom H4n was also on my list and it was nice idea, but latencies offered by that device as an interface is a bad joke :(

What about Mbox 3rd gen Mini and a small midi-USB unit? That would come in under $300 easily.

Mbox Mini is USB 1.1 what smells kinda "old" or "hear latency". BTW my basement is full of discontinued digidesign products ;) Recently I installed digi 001 on nice XP system and found how good it works with reaper :)

1.1 is enough for the needed bandwidth. Latency is more about drivers than the size of the pipe.

FWIW I LOVE my dual core XP/001 system with dual Presonus D8s. Dead solid and reliable. Better Pres, clock and converters. And no updates to worry about. Ever.

Thanks for a tip. Does it work for anybody? Does anybody use Tascam US-144 MkII? If I could make sure it works with PT10/Win8 and has round trip latency below 10ms, I would buy it right away.

For those interested in round trip latency benchmarks here is the link:

What interesting according to their test RME FireFace UFX has lower latency when connected via USB!

I use the MBox for this purpose. It works great. Latency hasn't been a problem recording 2 channels at a time on my laptop

Try looking around for a Motu 828MK2 Firewire. I used one of those for years with no issues. Only has 2 Mic-Pre's but a TON of I/O for right at 300 on Ebay.
