Trigger 2 with PT10... Compatible?

Hello all,

Quick but time sensitive question:

I am trying to get the 100 dollars off Steve Slate Trigger 2 for black friday. However I am reluctant to do so because on their website it says in all caps and red "64 BIT DAWS ONLY".

I Run PT10 on a Mac OSX 10.9.5. Can I not use trigger? I know people with PT10 used it in the past, I've even seen mentions of it on this here forum. I've done a ton of research and can't confirm if they've phased out 32 bit daws or something. Even their online pdf manual seems to think 32 bit daws are supported.

Please let me know what you think. I am not very tech savvy. Thank you!!!

Sonny

You need to contact their customer support and hope for the best. Old installers are not always available

Hi,

I have some of the original 32bit AAX installers that work on PT10. The latest updates are only 64bit so you’ll need the old 32bit installers.

If you get stuck I have some installers 32bit I could send, but slate support would help they were good when I contacted them for a reinstall

Wow, that is great to know, thank you so much. I am going to go ahead and make the purchase.

Lmao, they just emailed me back with saying that "they're sorry, but they no longer had access to legacy products." I might email this link back to them and see what they say. I'm new to Trigger... does anyone know if there's any major differences between 1 and 2? It looks like this is version 1.66.

I just got the Izotope Elements package which wont support my OS or my PT10 so I'm kind of just looking to move on now so I can stop worrying about it.

Trigger 1 is for a 32-bit OS, whereas Trigger 2 is for a 64-bit OS.

Check out You Tube - there's videos for both:

Even though this clip uses another DAW, it's really good at showing how to use Trigger:
