Upgrade to PT 10 free
 

I bought Pro Tools 9 from Sweetwater on 2-2-12. The rep told me I would be able to upgrade to 10 for free. I installed 9 and registered. I can't find the option to upgrade to 10 for free anywhere. The rep tells me that I'm supposed to do this when I'm registering. So my question is...

Can I just uninstall 9 and then re-register? Is there an easy way to do this?

10 was shipping in February. Sweetwater probably will need to manually arrange with AVID to have your AVID account updated for 10.

After registering PT9 you should get an email from Avid telling you you are eligible for a free upgrade to ProTools 10. People are reporting various time frames for this. Mine came in a couple of hours. Some people are saying theirs took a couple of days.

But that email will have the upgrade instructions.
