Protools 9.0.6 and addictive Drums
Hi
I would appreciate if anybody could help me with this problem. When you click on the "track view sellecter" on an instrument track with addictive drums instanciated I get a 5 second delay before it opens. I havent noticed this before so im wondering if its a bug in 9. Im using the very latest Adc drums. My pc is a q6600 with 6 gb ram, Did not have this problem until now. Shea |
Re: Protools 9.0.6 and addictive Drums
I would roll back to 9.0.3 or 9. 9.0.6 had poorer performance for me. If the problem arrived with the update, that pretty much tells the story. I always save a drive image BEFORE installing any updates(its surprising how often they go sour). Otherwise, post a Sandra report

Re: Protools 9.0.6 and addictive Drums
I'm using same versions and don't have much of a delay at all. Probably less then a second. Personally I find 9.06 much more stable than previous versions.
Have you tried a defrag on the drive where AD samples are installed? Could be just taking longer due to normal fragmentation. I do have an i7 processor and I've only got 3 cores selected of the 8. Perhaps some tweaking of that type on your specific machine can improve performance? Alain |

I was hoping there might be some tweek or something. I wonder is the same problem in ten? During playback when you click "track view sellecter" it stops the curser until the dialogue opens but it doesnt stop playback. Very annoying to say the least thanks again guys |
