Plugin Alliance For Avid S3l-x/S6l
 

Recently Installed transient designer on S3l-x. Works fine, but i want more plugins from plugin alliance/brainworx using on my desk.
For instance the Vertigo VSC-2, but I can not get it installed on my desk.
Do i something wrong or is it nog compatible?

Worked fine for me on VENUE 4.6.1.

1. Download Windows 64bit installer.
2. Use it to install AAX-DSP version on some PC (not on the E3 engine itself!).
3. Copy the "Vertigo VSC-2.aaxplugin" folder from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins into "<USB drive>:\AAX Plug-ins" folder, so that you would get "<USB drive>:\AAX Plug-ins\Vertigo VSC-2.aaxplugin".
4. Plug this USB drive to E3 and install plug-in as usual via Options->Plug-Ins.

Only the UI is as big as the whole screen..
Do you know if avid is gonna launch a venue 5+ for s3l-X?
Than the problem with the screen resolution( and LPF, 96khz aso) wil be solved..

"No" as in they ain't gonna make the software. There are a couple of things that I'm still longing for on the S3L-X platform, but I believe their concentration is fully on S6L.

Ah, that would be to bad.. I think there are still a lot of s3l-x users dat would like those changes en possibilities on the system. Especially because the system is not that old, and it would be unfortunately if the engineers from avid just keep it what it is and concentrate full on the S6L.

I agree wholeheartedly. I think we might have been fooled by the length of time it took to build systems off of the new HDX cards. It made us think that these systems had longer life spans than AVID had intended. The S3L's been around since 2013, for other manufacturers, that's a long time.
