Best plugin for audio restoration

i have 1000 1hr spoken word cassette tape recordings from the early 80s to convert to digital and remove hiss. What is the best plugin to remove hiss. Each recording is about 1 hour long. Thanks for your help....

I've heard good things about Izotope's noise removal, but someone on Buy & Sell is selling DNR. He's selling it with Hyrbrid 1.5 too.

The best Restauration Plugins I know are from Algorithmix.
Noise Free would do an excellent job in your case. Unfortunately for PC only so long. If you can handle this, give them a try.
Sound Rescue I don´t know but seems to use the same technology for a very low price.

We use Izotope for a lot of our 1/4" analog restoration and it IS awesome. The 'big' boy is worth the extra price.

Izotope is amazing, especially for the price. Should be about $225 to $250 street price, and the noise removal is very very good, noticeably better than either X-Noise or Z-Noise.

I've used the WaveArts stuff too, and it's pretty good, they have a great user interface, the best of any of them, that you can really dial in the noise reduction by adjusting the frequency bands.

But Izotope is such a bargain, especially the spectral repair which can do amazing things when it's needed.

Our engineers love Izotope Rx. We have DINR and Waves Resto and several others, but Izotope is all they use anymore.
