End of stream encountered

Why do I keep getting this message??? (End of stream encountered)
Just trying to record. Every time I hit the record button, I get this message.
I have PT 2019.12, latest version and just started getting this.

Is it just one session? Does it have illegal characters in the name?

yes, just this session but there are no special characters in it.

the session could possibly be corrupt, never had this before

because you apparently are seeing this with teh same session on both platforms would point directly to the particular session. have you tried opening a new session and Import Session Data to see if that resolves the issue?
