Deleting app manager
I am finally getting rid of this useless bit of software. I used the app manager uninstaller, which seemed to remove the application itself, but upon looking in Mac OS library there are still loads of app manager folders, some with the caches that comes to quite a few GB.
Am I save to delete these? |
Re: Deleting app manager
Where exactly are they located and what are they named?

Re: Deleting app manager
Thanks
Library/Caches/Avid/Application Manager and then four folders in there hidden Library/Application Support/Avid Technology/Application Manager/QtWebEngine/Default hidden Library/Caches/Avid Technology/Application Manager/QtWebEngine/Default There were also some licenses left in Application support I think, but as these were just text files I deleted these already |
Re: Deleting app manager
You should be fine removing all those. It's only every of use to App Manager which you no longer care about. Who knows why the uninstaller did not whack them. But not too unusual for uninstallers forget to clean out all the cache stuff, I recently noticed Nikon's camera software fails to do that for example.
And now everybody knows App manager was written in Qt (as is Avid Link) :-) |
Re: Deleting app manager
ta. Can I remove the whole Avid Technology folders?
Yeah the Qt thing was terrible and was hogging so much CPU |
