move playhead to left side of page?
 

The 1/2 page margin on the left side bugs me, is there any way to move playhead to left side of page? EDIT: I take that back, it's not really the playhead, it's the line that goes down the center of the edit window and the playhead always jumps to the center...

Go to Options>Scrolling and try all the various options. Probably 1 of them will please you(sounds like you have Continuous Scrolling selected):o BTW, playback needs to be stopped before you can change that setting.

I use the "page" scrolling option and have for years. It just moves to the next screen page in time when you get to the far right in time. Makes sense to me. YMMV.

They changed that with 2018.7. You can change during playback/transport active (i change between scrolling and not scrolling with key commands I've set up but you can change between modes of scrolling too)

Also, sounds like OP want's page scrolling (every time scrolling gets to the right, the "page" flips and the playhead is on the left again.)

Center Playhead and Continuous will put the playhead in the center of the screen.

Good to hear you guys are still on here giving good advice. Actually I'm not on here everyday and it seems every time I need to do some recording there are new versions of PT, Windows, etc and I have to jump through hoops only to find some things have changed. I thought I used to scroll...never heard of center playhead although it sounds like that's what it's doing. Just thought I'd check to see if I missed something. Thanks again guys :rolleyes:
