Artist display turns blank after every single reboot

Hi,

am I the only one getting this? After every single reboot both my artist mix and transport's displays turn blank. The button leds are working, the faders work, but there is no text on the displays. I have to 'restart eucon application' from the top menu bar (OSX) to get it back.

It's been like this since forever, OSX 10.8 to 10.12, with multiple eucon software and firmware versions. Also on several machines here in house.

All artists are running on the mac pro's dedicated ethernet port, self assigned ip.

Protools HD 12.8.3

Hi Farhoof,

I had this same problem.

There's a thread about ot on this board.

On mac we solved it by removing Eucon from 'system prefs/ users and groups/login items' rebooting without it and then re adding Eucon to login items.

Hope that works for you.

Yes try disabling EuControl from auto start and see if that helps. If it does try adding it back using the new option right clicking on the EuControl notification icon up top.

Thanks,
that seemed to have done the trick :-)

This started happening for me as well after installing version 20.1.0.50.
Artist Mix scribble strip goes completely blank and requires EuControl restart.

Re: Artist display turns blank after every single reboot

I have not used my Artist Mix in awhile. Yesterday I found that everything is working - EXCEPT - the fader displays all are blank. Like the original poster here, the AVID logo lights up when powered on, and then the displays all go blank.

I was using eucontrol 19.7 and tried the fix here - namely, delete Eucon from the login items in users/groups (system prefs) and restart. It did not work despite multiple tries.

I reinstalled (successively) eucontrol 19.7, 19.9.1 and now 21.6. Nothing worked.

I did not find any other blank display threads that were relevant, much less as current as this.

Besides this issue, is there a cut-off past a particular eucontrol version that won't work with the Artist Mix and 2019.6 Pro Tools Standard (my version).

Thanks all

MSA 14 added system info (edits didn't take)

Pro Tools 2019.6 Standard - Artist Mix Eucon 19.7 (Eucon enabled in peripherals)
2018 Mac mini - 512GB - 32GB RAM
OS 10.14.6 Mojave
UAD Apollo Duo w/Thunderbolt + UAD Quad Satellite
Novation Launchkey 37 MKIII (HUI Slot #1 in peripherals) - never interfered
Main external drive - Sabrent XTRM-Q 1TB - PT sessions/audio & sound libraries

I know I'm late to the party since this started back in July 2021, but still not sure why it doesn't seem that anyone posted that EuControl 21.10.1 fixes this.

Happy downloading!

These issues are caused by different version of OSX. Can you try EUCON 21.10.1 ?

I just hooked my artist mix up and the LCD screens at the top of the tracks do not show any information.

Any ideas?
