I'm with you on this one as well.

I was also wondering if there could be a separate item for: plug in assignments, plug in settings, and plug in automation.

I'm not in front of my Mac right now, but I think that "PLUG IN SETTINGS AND AUTOMATION" are the same item.

I have several times not wanted the automation but wanted the settings. Maybe I'm missing a way to do it?

Don't know if it's there , but when importing data from another session, is it possible to keep the order of the tracks the same as the session where imported from.
Now , when matching tracks, they are aligned randomly.
Or did I overlook something ?

For me they are always placed just below the currently selected track and are imported in the order they were in the other session.

and beating a different horse with the same thread... "import track colors"... would be another real time saver.
