Even if they sound the best/greatest, etc...I would not buy them !
As it happens I drive by the factory often ( in Toronto) and they are slaving young immigrant children without pay, just enough rice and water to be able to assemble the boxes. These poor 8 years old walk barefoot in the coldest winter and sleep in a tent without shower or toilet...

Re: Yorkville studio monitors?

personally not a fan. too much top and bottom, not enough mid. tops are smeared and somewhat distorted in the 3-6kHz range and the bottom i s lumpy in the upper bass range. no real cohesion between hi and low, poor stereo imaging.

i have no idea what the price comparison is like but if you do guitar based rock, the Tannoy Reveals are the best cheap monitors i have heard but remember that monitors are very subjective.

if you have no budget limit, i suggest the Dynaudio BM6A's.

Heard them for the first time last night at my Guitar Teacher's studio.

I only got a brief listen, but they sounded pretty good/accurate. He was A/B ing them to other things and previous mixes and overall he was happy with them. They were certainly better than my cheapo M-Audio monitors...
