Pro Tools 12 and slow Graphics

Since I have installed Pro Tools 12, the GUI gets very very slow, and lags a lot when I have a lot of plugins open. I didn't have that issue with Pro Tools 11.
That happens both with Windows 8.1 and Windows 7.
I have also tried a different gfx card on my PC to make sure this is not a GPU problem.
What have they changed in the Pro Tools 12 ???
Anybody else experiencing this??
Here you can see an example of this problem.

try taking out every third party plugins. See if it stills happens. If it doesn't put your third party plugs in in one by one and test until you find which plugin is doing this on your system. Also if you are on a pc, please post a sandra report and make sure you have done all the optimizations.

Re: Pro Tools 12 and slow Graphics

Hello again.
Well, with stock plugins everything is cool, but I don't use them much anyway, so I am not sure.
I use mainly Slate Digital plugins.
The plugin that seems to be the heavier is TrackSpacer from WaveArts.
I already sent them an email, and their answer was:

That's really weird.
Honestly, I don't think it's a TrackSpacer issue because:
1. We're not doing anything other than the normal on the graphic level.
2. Nobody else has reported this issue.

And here is the Sandra report:

Hi

Here is another thread with the same issue as your utube video shows, in the first post in this thread http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t...+graphics+PT12 you can see the exact same thing so read thru that and see if you can extract some useful info for your problem.

Best of Luck

Sorry I wasn't clear enough. I meant try taking out every third party plugins from the plugin folder and then try with only the stock plugins. If that works without problem, then try placing back one third party plugin at a time until you find which one may be causing the problem.

I´m having the same problem but with OSX 10.11.3 and Pro Tools 12.5.2
Very sluggish graphic behaviour - even with AVID´s own plugins like Pro Limiter or Pro Multiband Limiter.:(

This is a know issue with El Cap. 10.11.6 is now approved, you could try that.

Or wait a week until Sierra is approved. Many are reporting that Sierra fixes it.

Of course try it on a back up copy of your install to be smart.

Just wait for Sierra to be approved, or go ahead and install it.
It fixed the problem.
Don't forget to backup.
Fixed my Pro Tools problem, but my M-Audio hardware no longer supported.
So.........Spend thousands on new interface or........deal with video lag.
