Pro Tools Cloud Collaboration (again...)
1 Attachment(s)
Hello, just wondering if Pro Tools Cloud collaboration has been abandoned and moved over to Avid Link?
I have a valid 500GB storage plan, can create and update a Project session, verify and share it in Avid Link but all relevant buttons in the Pro Tools toolbar ("Add Contact", Upload/Download, Chat) only open a blank window. So I don't get access to those collaboration features. See attached screenshot. Relevant track buttons do turn green however on upload activities. Is that supposed to be like that? Many thanks, Pete PT Ultimate 2020.12, Mac OS 10.14.6, Mac Pro5,1 2 x 3,46 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon, 96 GB RAM |

I don't know how popular Pro Tools Collaboration is, but I don't think it is abandon. However, Pro Tools Collaboration and the integration with AVID Link is a bit messy.
When you click on the Invite Button of the Collaboration View of the Edit Window Toolbar, the window should open and should display all the Projects under your account. That same window can be opened in three ways (as indicated in my screenshot). Can you try these options to see if the window is also blank:

Re: Pro Tools Cloud Collaboration (again...)
Did they fix this bug: Projects are getting bigger and bigger the more often you open them? Even if you don’t record or add anything. My once 100 MB project grown to more than 500 MB over a few weeks in 2017.
Pro Tools Cloud Collaboration worked better more than 15 years ago when they integrated Res Rocket Network. Best Mark |

Thanks Edgar, like I said toolbar buttons only open a blank window displaying, well, nothing.
Same goes for menu selection. The Avid Link app works. That's why I was wondering... |
