If it runs a 001, it should run a 002r, right?
I have seen the light [of 7.0] and want it. I am selling a bunch of stuff in Vancouver, BC Canada, check out my post in the For Sale section of the DUC if you are interested... but more importantly...
My PC runs PT perfectly, no crashes or anything. Can I expect the same from the 002r I plan on buying, or do I have to just play the cards and see? |

Compatability between the 001 and 002 is different.
001 is PCI based... 002x is firewire. As such, the 001 doesn't have the SP2 problems seen by firewire and USB hardware. And the interaction with the chipset is a whole new ballgame. You'll want to make sure your current system is compatable with the 002 specs... even if it runs the 001 flawlessly. |
