Any HDX core i9 Windows 10 setups.
Thinking about a new build consisting of the core i9 14 or 18 core chip and a HDX card. What I need to know is there anybody out there that has attempted this yet and if successful what RAM and Motherboard are you using? If unsuccessful I would still like to hear your thoughts or this. Any info is helpful.

Hi,
a configuration I cannot recommend: Intel XEON W-2145 CPU with 32 GB EEC RAM, NVIDIA Quadro P2000 graphics card, ASUS C422 PRO/SE mainboard and NVMe drives. Pro Tools Ultimate 2018.12 and HDX. Win 10 1803. Basically almost what Avid recommends with the HP Z4 G4 workstation. It seems like HDX or Pro Tools Software does not like this combination. Random AAE-9171 errors without any actual CPU spike. Avid support says that it basically would be a problem of the "unsupported" computer configuration. The X299 chipset is based on the C422 chipset. |

Not the i9 (I wish I could get it) but the i7's and ASUS work great with HDX.
full config in my sig. |

Yes, running this for some time now. Fine up to 2019.12, now struggling with setup of 2020.3...
