Eucon crashes
 

Greetings,

All the application that use Eucon crash when using it.

1. Logic crashes on launch
2. Metric Halo MIO mixer crashes (sometimes) on launch
3. Protools doesn't crash on launch, but crashes while using it.

Is is a Eucon problem or the applications' problem ?

Can you give me some more details including the EuControl version and the DAW versions?

I also had a Eucon application crash yesterday, That also happens often.

That's definitely not normal that everything crashes. The first thing I would recommend is to follow these instructions and then reinstall EuControl.Clean Eucon
Reseat any Ethernet cables and if available try a different port on the Mac. If not allready for a test try a direct link to the surface.

Hello,

Ok, I have done uninstall as described on those instructions, and did clean installation of latest version.

My Eucon unit (artist control) is directly connected to the MacPro, but I plan to add +2 Artist Mix which will require an switch.

The most common cause for these kinds of unexpected crashes is mismatched files.
Can you try to uninstall (using the uninstaller, not dragging to the trash), then run the script and then to double check, using Finder check to make sure this file is removed. From the Go menu, Go to Folder and enter usr/local/lib delete the libEucon2.dylib
Then reinstall.

Hello,

I have tried as instructed.

I have also reseted SMC/PRAM, changed network cables, put the EuCon NIC as first in order in the network preferences, uninstalled everything and installed multiple times.

It simple does not work.

Here's a crash that I got right now from a completely fresh installation of everything !

I have also opened a ticket in the official Avid support and they always get back with general guidelines.

This is extremely frustrating.

Please help me to solve this issue, As I have build my desk to add 2 X Artist Mix along with the artist control.

What version of EUCON are you running, have you updated to 18.3 yet ?
