This is what I think you'll have to do. 1) upgrade to 8.0, download 8.0.3 update and download 8.0.4b driver update. As for the particular install directions you'll have to follow what is included at the site.

okey... I checked if i could download a version of pro tools 8... and i got "Digidesign Audio Drivers Setup (x64)".... :\ I installed that and got some problem with some Intel driver (tpkd i think it was called). But just have to download a new driver and rebot. Now my mbox works but when i play any thing through it it sounds like the bitrate are wrong... Any suggestions???

I think you are in uncharted territory here. What DAW are you using with the MBox? Maybe it isn't setup for window 7 64bit. Or it can't interface with the digi drivers. That is the reason I suggested you get 8.0 because it can be updated to work with win 7. I don't think there is an update to win 7 for LE 7.

You are at a place I was at when I updated from Windows 95 to XP. DRIVER HELL!!!! I have an Alesis KB with a serial interface that I use with Finale and there were no XP drivers for it from Alesis. I ended up using YAMAHA drivers for one of their KB's. I found them about 2 days later.

Good luck and let us know if you can find something that works.

Okey. My main daw is FL Studio and I used to record in Pro Tools LE 7 when I had Windwos Xp. But now i can't use any of them with my Mbox. And I have tried Reaper that support 64 bit OS and it did't work any better there.

And I'm not sure if it will work with version 8 of Pro Tools either after reading in the forum... So i aint uppgradeing to that yet...

You probably won't get anything before 8.0.3 to work on Win 7.

Was this problem ever resolved? I can't get Pro Tools LE 7 to install on Win7. Has anyone been able to get their MBox 2 Pro to work with Win7?

Re: Drivers to Mbox 2 Mini and Windows 7, 64 bit

My MBox 2 Pro Just sits there unused. I just tried the v8 upgrade and it says it can't detect Pro Tools LE7. Seems like I am stuck: If I can't install my licensed Pro Tools LE7 on Win7, then I can't install the v8 upgrade; therefore, I've got an obsolete piece of hardware.

Not sure this is the right place:
