Question about 003 analog outputs used with Reason, Sampletank, Reaper, etc.
I noticed when setting up the 003 to be used in standalone with Reason, Sampletank, and Reaper, it only allows you to pick from the analog outputs for the sound outputs. It doesn't let you choose the monitor outputs. I have my Mackie mixer going to the aux input on the 003. If I set these programs to outs 1&2 and connect the analog outs 1&2 of the 003 to the mixer to go back into the 003 and out to the monitors, will I get a feedback loop? Like is the sound gonna go out of 1&2, back into the aux, and out 1&2 again and again? Or is the aux in just gonna go out to the monitor out?

been usin' my 002 console in standalone mode with the products you listed for years thru the monitor outputs. pretty sure the 003 is the same in that monitor and mains outs are tied to outs1&2.

Re: Question about 003 analog outputs used with Reason, Sampletank, Reaper, etc.
suggestion...i have a 1604 mixer myself and i use it for routin' just about everythin'. but i route everythin' thru the inserts on the channels, that way i'm bypassin' the pre's and only usin' it for volume...not alterin' the sounds bein' routed. also one of the many things that Key pointed out to me is that there is a sonic difference, for whatever reason, between the monitor and main outs on the 002. so check it out on your 003 and see which one you dig the best;)
