Re: Softube Release MKII Version Of Tube Tech Channel
Is there sonic enhancement? The product page listed:
"Improved sound, with a total remodel of the CL 1B, along with an update to the EQs using our latest signal processing technology." and then three bullets later... "Still the same epic audio processors they always were." I'm sure they meant something that makes sense. :-) Edit: The lack of clarity is catching. I meant to ask those who have tried it if they had noticed tone improvement. |

Maybe if Avid dropped the price of the HDX cards by half, and built a Thunderbolt chassis for them to use as an external DSP unit like the UAD stuff or Waves SoundGrid, they could start selling the DSP platform and plugins and get some traction from some other developers.

I used to have TC TDM CL1B and thought it was great.
I have now CL1B by the Softube and it sounds to me great too. Not sure though I am convinced to pay an outrageous upgrade fee for the mk2. At the end its just another compressor among so many. |
