Hey guys,

Here's the situation.

I bought the eleven rack used. The person who I bought it from kindly said if i needed anything, to just let him know, so getting in contact with him isn't too big of a deal.

I purchased the expansion pack and already did the little patch issue on Mac OS 10.10 with the folder creating etc... so the error message is no longer reading licensing failed. It's reading system id and serial number don't match. Getting in touch with Avid is the most ridiculous thing ever, and I have a feeling that I'm probably out the 100 bucks I paid avid for an expansion pack I can never use.

Sorry, you will have to contact Avid so they can give you new numbers or reset the ones you have.

Started a support case to get your System ID and Serial Number. Please reply to that (check inbox and spam/junk), thanks!

I have the same issue. I update Protools to 12 and went through that process then trying to get Eleven Rack updated and was met with the mismatch error. Tried on my windows 8 machine then saw the issues there with IE. Now tried on my Mac and get the same error using the codes in the account panel.

All we can do is file a ticket and pray it seems. For some it took 3-5 times of getting codes before it worked. There is no number that I know of for purchased product install support which is pretty crazy.

Just know that you are not alone. Many others had the same issue. The rack is worth in when you are through it. But Avid has always had issues in this area for as long as I remember. It is amazing the amount if DRM they through at something that needs the hardware to work. unfortunately it is not backed up with support. Should have bought through sweetwater so I could at least cry with someone on the phone.

An update for you. Try calling the tech support line and selecting product registration. They were able to reset the number for me. Should have you up in no time.
