Upgrade from LE7.3?
 

I have used LE 7.3 for years with a Digi 003 and would like to install PT Instrument Expansion Pack. What is the simplest way to upgrade to a functional level? I believe it works with PT8 minimum. Is there an LE 8 upgrade?

You can buy PT8 from the Avid store online for $149.

Thanks nst7. Your post made LE8 appear in the Avid store by some quantum effect. I could only find 9 and 10 before which are no good for Xp.

FYI PT 8 installs and works well, looks good and has nice features. PT 8.0.5 gave blue screen of death and Parity Check/Memory Parity Error so I'm back to PT 8 and all is well.
My DVD drive failed during the PT Instrument Expansion Pack 5 x DVD marathon but I got a new useful external drive and all is installed and working fine.

Glad you got it working. PT8 also brought improved stock virtual instruments as well. Be sure to check those out.

I've already spent time on Boom and the Hammond/Leslie features. Just those two plugins make PT8.0 a very valuable upgrade.
